NANCY'S CULINARY STYLE

Nancy prepares California Mediterranean cuisine from scratch with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and slow cooking. She specializes in making delicious, healthy versions of traditional favorites. Some of her preferred ingredients include:

  • 100% pure olive oil and canola oil
  • Whole grains, such as brown rice and whole-wheat pasta
  • Organic fruits and vegetables
  • Organic meats
  • Wild salmon (versus farmed)
  • Stock, milk or buttermilk instead of heavy cream

ABOUT NANCY

Nancy is a native of Palo Alto, California. She graduated from the California Culinary Academy of San Francisco in 1993 after receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Nancy has worked in the main kitchen at the Ritz Carlton, San Francisco, which received both AAA's Five Diamond and Mobile's Five Star awards. She also served as the chef of an elegant Bed and Breakfast establishment in Santa Barbara.

Nancy has worked as a personal chef, private chef and caterer in the Bay Area for more than 15 years. Her recipes have been published in Real Simple magazine, and she is Safety and Sanitation Certified by the International Food Safety Council.
